A normal mouse requires a laser response, so if the surface where the laser hits is made of a material that does not reflect well, the pointer on the computer screen cannot be moved well.

It may be difficult to imagine if you have never used a trackball, but you can use a trackball mouse without moving the mouse from where you put it.

However, the trackball mouse is not invincible and has disadvantages.

A regular mouse is faster and more accurate if you have the proper space and materials like a mouse pad.

As you can see when playing games on a computer, it is quite difficult to operate precise movements with just your fingers.

Also, using it for a long time can make your fingers tired.

I think that a normal mouse is better when dealing with detailed figures in architectural CAD or PowerPoint.
