A mouse that can be placed on top of the instrument
When creating music with DTM, I think that there are times when I go back and forth between the computer and the keyboard.
You can even work on a piano instead of a desk.
(Because it is easy to confuse it with a computer keyboard, we will refer to the musical instrument keyboard as a piano in this article.)
Then wouldn't it be easier if the computer mouse was on top of the piano?
If you come across such a scene, please try a trackball mouse.
It may be difficult to use at first, but once you get used to it, you can use it anywhere.
When inputting sound to DTM with a keyboard, use it like this.
Sorry if it's dark and hard to see.
I'll try to get a little closer.
You can also use it by placing it on your knee.
If you often work on your lap, on the keyboard, or other than at your desk, using a trackball mouse may improve your efficiency.
You can also operate it by placing it on the keyboard of your laptop.
This is possible because the sensing area is on the front side instead of the back side like a normal mouse.
In other words, there are two strengths of the trackball mouse.
One is that it can be used regardless of the material of the base and any unevenness.
It doesn't move back and forth, left and right like a normal mouse, and can be used completely stationary, so it doesn't require a lot of space.
There is no need to go a little further to the left but hit a computer and not be able to proceed, or to go a little further to the right but hit a book and not be able to proceed.

Although it is a convenient trackball mouse, there are also disadvantages.
In terms of speed and precision, there isn't much of a difference unless you're dealing with games or graphics, but it's better than a regular mouse.
In addition, fingers get tired when handling for a long time.
Your arms may not get tired from using it for a long time, but it can't be helped because your fingers are thinner and weaker than your arms.
If you're using music software to place notes on a staff notation, cutting audio clips, or tinkering with automation, you'll need to be careful if you use your mouse more than your laptop's keyboard.
If you come across a scene where you think your mouse is a little difficult to use, please try this trackball mouse.
Some electronics stores have samples that you can actually pick up and try.
Have a great day making music!
