My sister wanted a pen tablet, so I thought I could do it with a laptop and tried it.

The one my sister wants is a pen tablet with a screen on itself, a so-called liquid crystal tablet.

A liquid crystal pen tablet costs 40,000 yen even for a cheap one.

If I can make do with one I have, it's better than buying.

My laptop is a Hewlett-Packard Specter x360.

It has the ability to fold into tablet mode. 

It had a pen, but I was only using a mouse.

I will try using it like a pen tab.

Excellent free software

First, let me make an excuse, but it's been a few years since I've drawn a picture, and I was said to be pretty good until I was in junior high school, but after that I couldn't keep up with people who were really good at it, so I quit.

I used a carnivorous plant growing on my balcony as my subject.

The application is a free software called "FireAlpaca".

It's a pretty interesting plant.

I would like to write another blog post on another occasion.

I will draw from this angle.

I chose a sketchbook because I can choose the type of pen.

I think there are various highlights, but please forgive me.

Naturally, it is easier to express than drawing with a mouse.

The screen of the laptop computer is smooth, so it may be difficult to understand the feeling of drawing.

I didn't do it this time, but I found out that I can zoom in and draw details and use my laptop as a pen tablet.

It was fun, so I will continue.
