Careful Pre-Rush Preparation Saves Hostage and Your Life

Locate the hostages before charging in and try to neutralize them as much as possible.

Hostage rescue overview

A hostage rescue consists of two tasks.

1. Complete the rescue hostage contract.
2. Escape with the hostage recovery helicopter.

In short, it means to clear the rescue hostage contract normally.

What is a rescue hostage contract?

A rescue hostage contract is a rescue of hostages who are being held captive in Al Qatala soldiers' buildings.

Once inside the building, you must find the hostages and defuse the time bomb in time.

It's like a fortress raid with a time limit.

If the time limit is exceeded, the time bomb will explode and the contract will fail due to the death of the hostage.

There are enemies wearing armor inside and outside the building, so look for hostages while processing them one by one.

After rescuing the hostage, a new contract escape point will appear in addition to the existing escape points.

With the hostage on your back, aboard the helicopter that has landed at the contract escape point and drop the hostage to complete the contract.

I have the impression that the number of rescue hostage contracts is few compared to other contracts.

Prioritize places that are thought to have less contact with enemies in the vicinity.

Eliminate enemies in and around the building before entering.

Once you've signed a contract and entered the building, the time limit will start, so protecting hostages while dealing with enemies can be quite difficult.

That's why we need to take precautions in advance.

The building where the hostage was held is always located near the rescue hostage contract. (There is also a way to find the hostage building and eliminate the enemy before taking the contract)

Even before taking the contract, if you hear a hostage's voice near the contract, that is the building you will target after taking the contract.

However, even if you try to open the building's door unless you have a contract, it will display a message saying, "Contract Required" and you will not be able to enter.

Grasp the general confinement location based on the voice of the hostage.

If you find a building, go around it.

You can hear the hostages calling for help.

From the strength of the voice, you can identify the general location where the hostage is being held.

The hostage is speaking as a [civilian man].

Eliminate the enemies.

There is something like a filter on the window of the building where the hostage is confined, but you can see inside.

Also, this bullet will pass through.

I don't know the principle, but the enemies inside will not shoot at you.

Use this to kill all the enemies in the building as long as you can see them.

Your movements and attacks are restricted when you are carrying a hostage.

It's a good idea to kill the enemies around the perimeter so they don't get hit and killed before escaping.

To contract completion

A long-awaited rush.

Continue searching for the hostages, keeping an eye out for any enemies that have fallen into the building.

Defuse the bomb when you find the hostage

Securing hostages, saying "Thank you!"

But I want to reply, "Tell me that after you get home safely."

Now it's time for tension.

The landing point of the helicopter will be displayed.

When solo, there is no offensive support.

Wait for the helicopter to arrive, hoping not to encounter enemies.

If you are forced to engage an enemy, take down the hostage once, deal with the enemy, and when it is safe, carry the hostage on your back and head to your destination.

The helicopter will land in about 30 seconds after securing the hostage.

Once you get on the helicopter and drop the hostages, the contract is complete.

If you can escape as it is, this mission is complete.

Equipment and knowledge to more easily conquer.

Sniper rifle and handgun

The weapon that I was able to use most consistently during my rescue hostage mission was a combination of a sniper rifle and a handgun.

I do think it's easier to fight with an assault rifle if you want to rush into a building full of enemies.

However, the premise is to take a method to neutralize the enemy before rushing in.

First, defeat the enemies around the building and on the roof.

Defeat the enemies you can see through the window.

You can also change the angle and shoot from other windows.

Shooting hostage takers with a sniper rifle makes me feel like I'm a special forces member.

If you can't shoot the enemy from an angle and leave the enemy stranded inside the building before rushing in, you can fight with a handgun or ditch the sniper rifle and replace it with a weapon that's better at close quarters than the enemy has dropped.

A handgun that can be wielded with one hand is a good idea as it allows you to attack enemies you encounter while holding hostages on your way to escape.

People who can stock up on customized handguns may be strong.

Recon drone, heartbeat sensor, drill charge

Recon drone

The Recon drone has a marking function, but it is a field upgrade that can be used just to see through cover and confirm the location of enemies and hostages.

If you look from the side, it's obvious what floor you're on.

Enemies are shown as white dotted diamonds, and hostages are shown as black diamonds.

If you look from above, you can get a more accurate position.

Heartbeat sensor

Although the heartbeat sensor cannot distinguish height differences, the battery life is longer than that of the Recon drone, and it can grasp the enemy's location to a certain extent.

Hostages are not shown.

(Enemy's gun is popping out of the wall, but let's use that as well)

Drill charge

While using these search items before entering a building, you can also rely on the voices and footsteps of the enemy to neutralize the enemy with drill charges.

The enemy soldiers guarding the hostage are wearing armor, so throwing two drill charges will kill them.

Increase drill charge infinitely

To be honest, I don't use drill charges much at the rescue hostage.

From my experience, two is enough, and one is fine.

Most of them can be killed by attacking through windows.

So, I think you should only use this method if you have an ammo container nearby.

1. Equip a drill charge in your loadout
2. Refill with ammo container
3. Open the backpack to store the equipped drill charge
4. Wait for 1 minute cooldown of ammo container to refill again

After that, by repeating steps 2 to 4 above, you will have enough drill charges to fit into your backpack.

Can use parachute

The parachute can be opened even if you are holding a hostage.

In some places, you can jump straight to the escape helicopter at the base of the mountain.

There may also be situations where you are holding a hostage from a 3-story rooftop and gaining distance to travel.

Rope cannot be used

Ropes cannot be used while holding a hostage.

Playing video

Being able to kill enemies from outside the building feels a bit unorthodox, but doing research beforehand sounds like a real civilian rescue.

In the video, everything went smoothly, including the location of the contract, the location of the buildings, and the surrounding enemies.
