They are trapped like rats in the strongholds
Fast and Strong summary
- Unlock a Stronghold door with a keycard
- Clear 3 Strongholds each in under 15 seconds after unlocking the Stronghold.
What you need for Fast and Strong
Stronghold keycard
The stronghold is locked, so you need to obtain the [Stronghold Keycard] to open it.
4 ways to get a keycard.
- Kill enemies and pick up dropped items
- buy in shop
- Found in containers (occasionally found alive in armory etc.)
- Rewards for completing missions
Normally, stronghold keycards cannot be stocked even if they are collected, but you can stock up the ones you receive as rewards for completing missions.
If you have it from the beginning, you will be able to proceed more smoothly.
Drill charge
Drill Charge is a grenade that penetrates through cover and deals damage to the other side.
As you can guess, you can unilaterally neutralize the enemy inside the stronghold.
This grenade made it possible to simplify this mission.
Heartbeat sensor
It is used to know the number and position of enemies.
Also, when using a drill charge, it is also useful to get a rough idea of where to throw it to hit the enemy.
Recon drone
It is used to accurately grasp the number and position of enemies.
It is effective as a supplement to heartbeat sensors that cannot recognize height differences such as two-story strongholds.
Semtex
In the unlikely event that an Al-Qatala soldier with a shield doesn't die from the drill charge, it's a good item to have for a quick and reliable kill.
backpack (medium)
It is reassuring to have a backpack of medium or larger size if possible.
It feels cramped with the initial backpack size (5 slots).
4 drill charges (2 backpack slots),
armor plate,
as I will explain later.
Flow of fast and strong clear
Specialize your loadout for this mission before launching
In the loadout,
Tactical equipment to [heartbeat sensor],
Lethal Equipment to [Drill Charge],
Set Field Upgrade to Recon Drone.
Check the map for a small stronghold
This strategy will be extremely effective against small strongholds.
Try to find a stronghold that seems easy based on your experience.
It is also a good idea to zoom in on the map and sort out the silhouettes of fortified buildings that are smaller and less than two stories high.
If possible, buildings with windows are easier to capture.
Local procurement of Semtex
Semtex is locally procured because I chose Drill Charge as the initial equipment in my loadout.
In the process of raising funds to purchase keycards, secure Semtex as well.
Enemies will also drop.
If you don't have Semtex, pick up a Frag, Thermite, or Molotov.
In addition, since it can be replenished with a weapon container, it is enough to get one.
Refill 4 or more Drill Charges with a Weapon Container
On the way to the shop, or after purchasing a stronghold keycard from the shop, keep in mind that you will stop at the weapon container before going to the stronghold.
The purpose is to have plenty of drill charges.
First, replenish your existing drill charge with a weapon container.
Open the backpack and store the equipped drill charge in the backpack.
Wait for the weapon container's 1 minute cooldown to refill the drill charge again.
If you repeat this, you can have 4 or 6 drill charges.
About four will be enough.
Also, it's a good idea to switch to Semtex and replenish to make it two.
Now everything is ready.
Let's head to the stronghold you've spotted.
Buy a stronghold keycard from the shop
Stronghold keycards can also be found in containers and enemy drops.
However, I'm the type who wants to eliminate uncertainties, so I'm aiming to purchase at the shop first.
It would be nice if you could get a keycard in the process.
The key card's $5,000 is calculated by selling supplies on the way to the shop or nearby.
However, there are shops that don't shoot key cards (in that case, they sell self-revive kits), and I escaped without being able to get it even after going around three times.
In my case, I tried about 5 times, 3 times I bought it in the shop, and the other 2 times I got it from the armory and enemy drops.
Eliminate enemies around the stronghold
We're going to do a little bit of stronghold stuff right now, so you need to get rid of any enemies around the stronghold that will spot you and shoot at you so you don't get killed while you're working.
Know the number of enemies in the stronghold with the heartbeat sensor
First, stick to the wall of the stronghold and use the heartbeat sensor.
Find out how many enemies are in the stronghold.
Also, please find out where the enemy is, as it is okay.
You will neutralize the enemies with the Drill Charge, but what's really important about this strategy is that you have to leave one enemy behind before you can unlock the stronghold.
It's easy to defeat the enemies because they have no way to attack us, but if they are annihilated, unlocking will not clear the task.
It means you have to get at least 1 kill after unlocking it.
Attack from the stronghold window
In order to save the drill charge as much as possible, defeat the enemies that can be seen through the window first.
An enemy with a shield can be defeated by attacking the part other than the shield, and even if the shield is pointed at you, it can be defeated by attacking the handgun part.
Attack with drill charge
While reconfirming the position of the enemy with the heartbeat sensor, use the drill charge to cut down the enemy that cannot be attacked from the window.
Precise enemy search with the Recon Drone
Recon Drone compensates for the part that is difficult to understand with the heartbeat sensor.
Since you see enemies through walls, they are not marked and are displayed as dotted diamonds.
There are two ways to use it.
See what floor enemies are on from the side
The heartbeat sensor cannot distinguish height differences.
With the heartbeat sensor, about 3 enemies appear to be grouped together.
It is also useful when you want to know the floor where the enemy is in advance so that you don't lose time in a building with different entrances on the 1st and 2nd floors during the final assault.
See enemy numbers and locations from above
Since the heartbeat sensor has a small range, it's also useful to look down to get a clearer idea of enemy locations.
I explained the roles from the side and the top separately, but of course, once you launch the Recon Drone, check it from various angles and use it to understand the situation.
The Recon Drone's battery life is fast, so I think it's a good idea to use it as a finishing touch after clearing enemies with the heartbeat sensor to some extent.
Kill all remaining enemies in the stronghold in less than 15 seconds after entering
When you enter, a timer will appear at the top of the screen.
Soldiers with shields don't receive drill charges from the surface, so it's easy to survive, so be careful.
Killing all remaining enemies in the stronghold before this timer reaches 0 advances the task.
Complete the mission in 3 attempts.
Video of actual clear
I explained it in order, but in reality, it doesn't go exactly like this.
My backpack was so small that I could only hold 2 drill charges after all.
There is always something missing from the plan, such as going to investigate and losing time, a stronghold with no windows, not being able to get to the weapon container and having drill charges and other grenades.
The video that I will post as an example is also a feeling that I took it to accomplish the mission by pushing hard at the end.
Before going to the stronghold, there are many meaningless actions and suspicious behaviors, and it doesn't look good, but I hope it will be helpful to see how it can actually be done. (Sorry for the bad image quality)
