The easiest way to get a Basilisk is from your loadout.

The task is still cleared.

It says, "commonly found in police stations", but this is not a condition for clearing the task, but a hint of where you can find it with a high probability when looking for Basilisk.

Demerit

The downside to bringing it from your loadout is that your first primary weapon will be the Basilisk, making it difficult for those unfamiliar with this weapon to engage enemies.

To compensate for this disadvantage, there are methods such as carrying an easy-to-use assault rifle or submachine gun from loot or avoiding areas with many enemies.

Police station

If you don't have a deployment specialized for this mission, and you're taking this one for another mission, stopping by the police station will increase the chances of getting a Basilisk.
